Cannon, really?
Yeah, Cannon handled the UK cinema release but I have very
little info except the image from the UK quad poster.
Cannon also handled the home video release in the Benelux
countries:

By the time it hit UK home video there was no sign of
Cannon:

This has now been released by Anchor Bay USA in a great restored
DVD. In the UK a terrible DVD was released (by Pegasus
–see below) and now
this great film has the injustice of being boxed up with films in “Sci-Fi” type
“Mega Pack” collections.

From what I can gather so far, it looks like Cannon handled
a part of New World’s UK catalogue. Including:

Black Moon Rising (1986) made it to Cannon
Screen Entertainment UK home video but The Quiet Earth (1985)

and The Boys Next Door (1985) didn’t and ended up
with CBS/Fox. Cannon’s home video division (Cannon Screen Entertainment)
was sold off and I can only
assume the New World part went to CBS/Fox (a lot of NewWorld product did appear
with CBS/Fox).
