Who Changed The
Cannon Logo?

|
Well, obviously the people who
were running Cannon Pictures, Inc. (Ovidio G.
Assonitis or Christopher Pearce once Assonitis resigned) at the time, but Idon’t like the
concept and it was very short lived just like Cannon Pictures. The logo also
only appeared on some media some of the time (see below). The only place I’ve
seen it is on Lambada (1990) and Keaton's Cop (1988) Seen it anywhere else? LMK. |

The logo doesn’t appear on the CP’s share certificate above .
Note the credits change too from the poster to the DVD (also note the complete
lack of Globus and he’s listed in several places as “uncredited”):

Mr Assonitis did not last long at
Cannon Pictures, Inc.

The following is an excerpt
from an SEC Filing, filed by PATHE COMMUNICATIONS CORP on
11/26/1996. On June 24, 1994,
Ovidio Assonitis, a former employee of Cannon Pictures, Inc., together with
a related corporation,
filed a complaint against Cannon and
the Company arising
out of the
termination of his
employment by Cannon
and challenging a
settlement agreement he entered into.
The Company was not served with the
complaint until November, 1994, and an answer was filed on December 8, 1994, in which the Company has denied plaintiffs'
allegations. The parties have reached a
preliminary agreement to settle
this case for $3,000 plus other non- monetary consideration. |
